 ROBER SPRUIELL murdered...JEREMY JOHNSON held in Miami-Dade for his involvement. In still another sad story that effects many, many people, the former owner/mgr of Integritysales was found dead outside a room of the Golden Nugget Hotel, after a confrontation with an induvidual Spruiell believed was selling illicit drugs to magsellers he oversaw. A simple search of the internet provides a host of information...so I won't go into many details here except to say that I'm sure his family is devastated and it is one more in a history of violence that marks this industry in a dark light. The summer door-to-door selling season is upon us, and this is when crews generally head to Northern regions that are too cold at other times of the year. My former Manager wasn't a fair weather boss...I can recall COLD days in Detroit, staying at the Flying Dutchman Hotel...and trudging through slush and ice to bring in those orders! Thank goodness we left the N/East for Tampa/Miami soon afterword to spend Xmas and warm our bones! Another regular stop back in those halcyon days was the Kona Kai in Virginia Beach, VA...where the military bases abound and the girls especially wrote huge business. This was back in 79-80...and I believe the Kona Kai is a thing of the past. There was a bar downtown called The Cave we all frequented on Saturday night before Jumping to other destinations. If you know where crews stay when in V Beach presently...let us know...it would be interesting to know if accomodations are 'acceptable' for todays' magagents.
